23-Apr-2012: Students Announced for Google Summer of Code 2012

Google Open Source Programs Office has announced a list of 1212 students accepted for Google Summer of Code 2012 internships in 180 mentoring organizations. Overall statistics of GSoC 2012 looks impressive: 406 mentoring organizatins has been applied and 4258 students submitted 6685 proposals.

5 of the accepted students will be mentored by members of the Linux Verification Center team within cooperaton with The Linux Foundation covering Linux Kernel Space Verification and LSB Infrastructure programs:

  • Nikita Komarov (Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics, PhD student) - Implement a Lightweight Data Race Detector for Linux Kernel Modules on x86.
  • Mikhail Mandrykin (Lomonosov Moscow State Unversity, Computer Science Department, 5th course) - Formalization of Correct Usage of Kernel Core API.
  • Eugene Novikov (ISPRAS, PhD student) - Advanced Source Code Instrumentation for the Linux Driver Verification Project.
  • Denis Yefremov (ISPRAS, PhD student) - Formalization of Correct Usage of Kernel Core API.
  • Roman Zybin (ISPRAS, PhD student) - Update LSB OLVER Core Test Suite.
