Lack of details in requirements to the crypt() function.

Detailed Description

The description of the crypt() function states that the first two characters of the string of ‘salt’ may be used to perturb the encoding algorithm. However there is no information whether the length of the string could be less than 2 and there is no description of the function’s behavior in this case.
